Ness & Campbell Crane crews removed the 1969 Burlington Northern Railroad steel caboose June 15, which sat at the corner lot of 228th Avenue Southeast and Southeast Fourth Street, Sammamish, to make room for the town center, set to break ground sometime in July.

Ness & Campbell Crane crews removed the 1969 Burlington Northern Railroad steel caboose June 15, which sat at the corner lot of 228th Avenue Southeast and Southeast Fourth Street, Sammamish, to make room for the town center, set to break ground sometime in July.

The caboose sat on the privately owned lot for the last 18 years and will be relocated to a property in Cle Elum, Washington, according to the Sammamish Heritage Society.
