The city of Sammamish is in a flood watch beginning Monday night as another storm is forecast to bring heavy rain, according to the National Weather Service.

With a 90 percent chance of rain Monday, wet conditions and low temperatures are expected to carry through midweek.

King County could see 5-8 inches of rainfall this week.

High winds throughout the first half of the week could also affect the eastern Puget Sound lowlands, including Bellevue and the vicinity, according to the National Weather Service.

Winds, moving south or southwest, are estimated to be between 25-40 mile per hour.

Gusts could reach 60 miles per hour Tuesday morning and continue through the afternoon, which could knock down trees, damage property and cause power outages, the weather service warns.

Due to heavy rain, there is an increased danger of landslides in the Cascades of Snohomish and King Counties, according to the weather service.

The areas have already seen 3-6 inches of rain, with local amounts of 9-11 inches in the mountains, over the weekend.

During the weekend, Eastside Fire & Rescue crews responded to two incidents where downed trees blocked the roadway, according to Jay Hart of Eastside Fire.

Crews reduced traffic to one lane on Louis Thompson Hill Road Northeast after water washed out the shoulder causing a pair of trees to fall over Sunday morning.

Nearby, Eastside Fire crews responded to another tree blocking 209th Avenue Northeast Sunday night, according to Hart.
