Lanes of Issaquah’s new roundabout at East Lake Sammamish Parkway and Southeast 43rd Way will remain open this weekend after crews postponed work due to a rainy weather forecast.

A final paving of the intersection is still necessary to complete the project and was tentatively scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 21 and run until 5 a.m. Monday, March 22. But a forecast of rain on Sunday and Monday has shelved those plans.

The city contractors will try again on same weekdays and times on either March 28-29, April 4-5 or April 11-12 — weather permitting.

For updates, check back to the City of Issaquah’s Web site or 1700 AM. The latest information, as well as detour routes, will also be located on variable message boards located near the roundabout.
