A pair of Sammamish sisters raised more than $2,500 to support their little brother, who was diagnosed with autism.

RJ Gemmet, of Sammamish, was diagnosed as being autistic last year. In response his older sisters, Taylor, of Skyline High School, and Madison, of Pine Lake Middle School, formed “Team RJDanceLegend.” The team took part in the 2014 Walk Now for Autism Speaks Puget Sound, held Sept. 27 at the Seattle Center’s Mural Amphetheatre. The team ranked 13th in total money raised at the walk, which was led by $20,106 raised by Team Microsoft.

In addition to all three Gemmet children, “Team RJDanceLegend” consisted of Sammamish residents Alyssa Murphy, Brianna VanderWeide, Sarah Buchanan, Cali Fasano, Blair Ivy, Jenna Ellis, Paul Vonsovic, Jonathan Gemmet, Christie Gemmet, Kasie Pranghofer, Kayden Pranghofer and Keagan Pranghofer.
