The city of Sammamish is beginning review and update of the code requirements relating to tree retention. As directed by the City Council, review of the regulations will include the standards for significant trees retained in new developments, incentives, replanting, penalties, and tree retention for existing single-family lots.
City staff will be available in an open house format from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 27 at City Hall within the council chambers to answer questions about current regulations and obtain input from citizens regarding the tree retention update. The input received will be part of the materials presented to the Planning Commission later this spring and/or summer.
