The following information was compiled from city of Sammamish and Issaquah police reports:

A Sammamish woman called police Nov. 27 to report she was hit by a vehicle while she was on her morning walk.

The woman, who was walking near Trossachs Boulevard and Southeast 9th Way, said the man struck her at a very low rate of speed, but fast enough for her to land on the hood of the vehicle.

The woman told the man she wasn’t hurt, but wanted to call police to document the incident. The driver then took off.

Police later tracked down the man, who said his windows were foggy. He said he left because the woman was yelling expletives at him and allegedly said she had his license plate number.

Police explained the importance of making full stops at intersections and issued a citation for the collision.

WINDOWS BROKEN

A developer contacted Sammamish police Nov. 26 explaining that sometime over the Thanksgiving holiday vandals shattered the windows on the doors of two model homes with rocks.

It didn’t appear entry was made and no alarms were reported over the holiday. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

VULGAR MESSAGE

A Sammamish man called police Nov. 27 to report a vulgar call to his cell phone. The man said the caller, also a man, stated in a voicemail that a shared acquaintance was “sleeping around” and that he “better be OK with sharing.” When the man called the number on his phone to see what the voicemail was about a woman answered. She said she never made any calls from her phone, hadn’t let anyone use her phone and guessed that her phone had been “spoofed.”

Both parties reportedly have ex-spouses who are very spiteful and would do such a thing.

CHILD LOCKED IN CAR

Issaquah Police responded to a call of a child left unattended in a car and buckled into his seat Nov. 20. The mother accidentally locked her keys in the vehicle and had a towing company come and open the door for her. She was cleared of any wrongdoing.

GUN FOUND

A landscaper working in an Issaquah apartment complex called police Nov. 20 after finding a gun while raking leaves. Police determined the weapon to be a Colt 1911 .45 caliber replica airsoft gun. The item was taken for auction/destruction.

IN A RUT

Police responded to a call of a driver stuck in the Issaquah Community Center grass Nov. 20. When police arrived the truck was no longer in the grass, but there were two large ruts left. The driver said he was blocked into the parking lot by buses and got stuck in the grass while trying to back out. The driver, who works for the community center, will be billed for any damage.

BEAR DOWN

Issaquah Police responded to a call of a dead bear in the roadway Nov. 16. The animal was struck and killed by an unidentified moving vehicle in the 1200 block of Front Street South. The animal was moved to the side of the road for animal control to pick up.
