The Issaquah Schools Foundation is working on its “All in for Kids” annual fund campaign.
This campaign aims to raise money to bridge the gap between state funding, which officials say is inadequate, and the education needs for all kids in the Issaquah School District.
Lynn Juniel said the goal of the foundation’s “All in” this year is $330,000. Juniel said that of the 12,500 families with kids in the district, about 20 percent donate each year.
The foundation supports programs for students at all academic levels.
It funds after school homework labs, robotic clubs, eighth grade financial Literacy, the PSAT for all sophomores and juniors and mentors for struggling students.
The foundation also underwrites fees for teachers seeking National Board Certification, enriches cultural education by donating to art docent programs and funds pre-kindergarten literacy testing.
