The ARAS Foundation is asking plateau-area residents to donate bicycles to people in Ghana and Sierra Leone.

The donations are part of the Village Bicycle Project to improve the quality of transportation in parts of Africa.

ARAS will host a one-day bicycle drop-off event, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 14, at Sammamish City Hall.

Sammamish City Hall is located at 801 228th Ave. SE in Sammamish.
