April 10

SNATCHER: A woman reported that a suspicious person had attempted to take her purse while she was at a location on the 6100 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast. The woman said the suspect, dressed in a red hat and blue shirt, dropped the purse and left the area on foot.

BURGLARY: A home on the 100 block of Mt. Pilchuk Avenue Northwest was reported burglarized. A window was broken and jewelry stolen at a total loss of $2,600.

FOILED: An 18-year-old Issaquah woman was arrested for the theft of a wallet and its contents on the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard. The stolen property was recovered.

April 11

UNLAWFUL JANITORING: An officer investigated a trespassing report on the 100 block of First Avenue Northwest, where a caller reported a man who had possibly taken cigarette butts from his daughter’s carport. The person was gone when the officer arrived.

SUSPICIOUS: A caller reported a male looking inside car windows on the 100 block of Front Street North. An officer contacted the male, who said he was looking inside a friend’s vehicle — though the vehicle’s license plate number returned a different name than what the male provided. But with no apparent crime, the officer took note of the incident for informational purposes only.

HOORAY: A missing pocketbook was found on the 700 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard.

April 12

POSSIBLE BURGLARY: Police took a burglary report from a home on the 2200 block of Northwest Boulder Way Drive, where a window was damaged at a total loss of $500. No other losses were noted in the report.

BAA: An officer responded to the corner of Newport Way Southwest and Wildwood Boulevard Southwest, where a sheep had been seen in the nearby creek. The sheep left the water without incident before the officer arrived and it was eventually located in the backyard of an address on Front Street South.

WELFARE: An officer checked on the welfare of a man on the 100 block of Front Street South whom a complainant believed to be extremely intoxicated. The man moved along.

April 13

DOMESTIC: Police arrested a 32-year-old Sammamish man for fourth-degree domestic assault after receiving a report of a possibly suicidal person at Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast.

PLATES: Both front and back license plates were reported stolen from a 2015 Honda Accord on the 23400 block of Southeast Black Nugget Road.

DESTRUCTION: At the police department on the 100 block of East Sunset Way, a citizen turned in a weapon for destruction.

PLAY NICE: Officers responded to a disturbance at a baseball game on the 700 block of Second Avenue Southeast where fans had a dispute stemming from someone blocking the view of the game. The officers stood by until the involved parties left the area.

April 14

GOOD BOY: An officer was dispatched to the 900 block of Northeast High Street, where a person had reported a male and female attempting to order their dog to attack a bus driver. However, the reporting person said the dog only appeared confused and did not act aggressively. All subjects moved along.

RECKLESS DRIVING: A 42-year-old man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after being stopped for reckless driving on the 600 block of First Avenue Northeast.

NO CONTACT: A 23-year-old Sammamish man was arrested at a location on the 1800 block of 15th Place Northwest for violating a no-contact order.

April 15

GTA: A tan 1991 Honda Accord valued at $1,500 was reported stolen from the 100 block of Fifth Avenue Southeast.

PANHANDLING: An officer responded to a 911 problem at the Regis Hair Salon. En route, the officer learned a person at the salon said a transient had been hanging around the business. The transient relocated to city property to panhandle.

April 16

ACCIDENT: Two cars collided while negotiating parking spaces on private property on the 1200 block of Northwest Maple Street. An officer oversaw the exchange of insurance information.

THEFT: A computer and medication were reported stolen from a location on the 1700 block of Highlands Drive Northeast at a total loss of $200.

DOGS: An officer consulted with a woman on the 200 block of Northeast Creek Way regarding a civil dispute. The woman said a dog breeder from whom she had obtained two dogs was requesting the animals’ return.

BIG SKY: A 23-year-old woman from Missoula, Mont. was arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft in the third degree.
