SipFest to help kids, families

SipFest will return to Issaquah on May 11 with another evening of wine, beer and food to benefit Encompass, a non-profit organization serving the needs of children and families in Issaquah, Sammamish, the Snoqualmie Valley and the greater Eastside.

 

SipFest will return to Issaquah on May 11 with another evening of wine, beer and food to benefit Encompass, a non-profit organization serving the needs of children and families in Issaquah, Sammamish, the Snoqualmie Valley and the greater Eastside.

The event, from 6:30-9:30 p.m., will be at the historic Pickering Barn, 1730 10th Ave. NW, Issaquah. Tickets are $50 per person and include a free souvenir tasting glass, a tasting notes booklet and all tastings.

Nearly 40 local wineries, breweries and restaurants will be at the event, which will include raffle prizes such as a Woodinville Wine Weekend which will include an overnight stay at Meritage Meadows Inn and wine tastings at five wineries; $100 certificate to the Purple Cafe and a 27-bottle wine cooler that will include five bottles of wine.

Other prizes include an ultimate beer experience and more than $1,000 in restaurant certificates and merchandise.
