The American Moroccan International Exchange (AMIE), sponsors of the photo contest “Through the lense: My Country, My Culture”, have extended the contest’s submission deadline to Oct. 29.

The contest is open to Issaquah and Moroccan students ages 12-18, inviting them to submit photos reflecting their community’s culture, people and places. There will be a $500 cash prize given to each of the winners in the contest categories of people, landscape or culture, as well as a $250 prize for the runners-up in each category.

Entrants can submit their photos online at www.amieonline.org. The winners will be announced Nov. 15

AMIE is a nonprofit organization that promotes “peace, understanding and academic excellence by fostering cultural awareness through student exchange programs.”
