The Issaquah School District announced late Wednesday night that it will close Skyline High School Thursday, Sept. 20 due to threats made against the school.
In a statement on its Facebook page, the ISD left this message:
“Emergency situation at Skyline: police just received a reported threat against students set for tomorrow morning. Acting out of an abundance of caution until this is sorted through, the campus is closed tomorrow (Thursday) for students and staff. We will send more information as it is available.”
During its 11 p.m., broadcast, King 5 News reported that the person who sent the message threatened to fire on students until they ran out of ammo or until they were killed themselves.
The Skyline Athletic Department reported on its Twitter page that all Thursday practices and games are cancelled.
The Reporter will update the story as more information becomes available.
