Stolen laptop, information theft and ‘green vegetable matter’ | Sammamish Police Blotter Oct. 16-25

Oct. 16

FILE NOT FOUND: A student at Eastlake High School reported to the school librarian that his backpack had been taken from an unlocked vehicle in the student parking lot. Inside the backpack was a school-issued laptop computer.

BAD CREDIT: A resident on Northeast 26th Place reported someone had used his credit card information without authorization, and may have had a fake out-of-state driver’s license made with his information.

Oct. 20

NEED TO KNOW: A victim came to the Sammamish Police Department to report an assault. However, he refused to give a statement or basic information to police officers, such as where the crime occurred.

BACKDOOR BURGLARY: A resident on Southeast 24th Way reported a residential burglary where thieves broke out the window of a rear sliding door.

Oct. 21

GASSY: A male suspect was reported taking a gasoline canister from an open garage door on 28th Avenue Northeast.

Oct. 23

THINGS COME IN THREES: A driver stopped by police in the 3300 block of East Lake Sammamish Parkway was arrested for third degree driving under suspension. An hour later, another driver stopped in the 4800 block was arrested for driving with a suspended license for the third time. Five hours later, another driver pulled over for expired tabs on 228th Avenue Southeast was arrested for third degree driving under suspension.

SEEKING DIVINE HELP: A resident on Southeast 15th Street who had information stolen in a security breach of the Seattle Archdiocese database last summer called to report an identity theft.

Oct. 24

PROBABLY NOT A SALAD: Subjects at the Sammamish Skate Park turned over a ziplock bag of green vegetable matter to Sammamish Police for disposal.

Oct. 25

UNDERAGE: Police arrested two 17-year-olds stopped near Southeast 24th Street and 228th Avenue Southeast on a DUI and two counts of a minor in possession of alcohol.

THEFT: A vehicle in a driveway at a home on Northeast 28th Street was broken in to, with contents stolen.
