The following information was compiled from city of Sammamish and Issaquah police reports:
A Sammamish woman contacted police June 7 after finding a gallon of fat-free milk surrounded by rocks on her front doorstep.
Police confirmed the liquid was milk and took it to the station for evidence.
The woman was uncertain why the milk was there, but believes it could have something to do with her ex-husband and his pending trial revolving around child pornography.
STOLEN MEDICINE
An employee of the Mary Queen of Peace preschool contacted police June 6 after discovering someone stole two lock boxes containing bottles of Benadryl and two epi pens.
It was the last day at school and the woman noticed the boxes missing when parents came to pick up their children’s medication.
RACING TO THE PUMP
Issaquah police were contacted for an accident at the Costco gas station June 4 after two vehicles collided going for the same pump.
There was minor damage to both vehicles and no injuries.
‘ANY WAY YOU WANT IT’
Police were called to a an Issaquah apartment June 5 after a resident was reportedly playing his music too loud.
When officers arrived at the building in the 2400 block of Northeast Park Drive, they heard music from the ‘80s band Journey blasting.
The renter was contacted and advised about the noise. He shut his window.
CAUGHT IN ACT
Sammamish police stumbled upon two 20-year-old Issaquah men parked at the intersection of Southeast 29th Street and 226th Avenue Southeast.
Suspicious of what they were doing, the officer approached the vehicle and noticed one occupant fumbling with something in his lap. The officer saw a green plant like material all over the man’s lap and noted a strong odor of marijuana.
The drugs were confiscated and the men were released.
VACANT HOME VANDALS
A Sammamish woman called police June 4 after witnessing three teenagers in a neighboring vacant home.
The woman said she heard sounds of glass breaking and banging. The woman said the house in the 21200 block of Northeast 6th Street has been vacant for two years, since her neighbor died of a drug overdose.
Officers were unable to locate any teenagers, but found someone had dropped a large object through a basement skylight.
HOME BURGLARIZED
Sammamish residents contacted police May 30 after discovering their home in the 2200 block of 216th Avenue Southeast was burglarized.
Thieves, who appeared to enter through the laundry room window, made off with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry, computers and other electronics.
GONE FISHING
An Issaquah resident contacted police June 3, reporting juveniles dislodged three storm grates and dropped them down their respective manholes on Northwest James Bush Road.
Officers were able to “fish” the grates out of the holes and replace them.
SMASH & GRAB
Issaquah police were contacted June 3 after someone broke into a car in the 1000 block of Northwest Gilman Boulevard and stole $4,000 worth of backpacks, laptops and other items.
