Students honored in robotics tournament

Four students from the Science, Technology, Math and Engineering School located at Eastlake High School won the Judges Award at the Washington Jump Start VEX Robotics tournament Nov. 17 in Everett.

Four students from the Science, Technology, Math and Engineering School located at Eastlake High School won the Judges Award at the Washington Jump Start VEX Robotics tournament Nov. 17 in Everett.

Team 917Z, Quantum Capopadialsa, consisted of Pavitra Siva, Saakshi Dulani, Divya Cherukupalli, Pooja Ghelani, Alka Pai and Catherine Yao.

The Judges Award was given to the team that displayed special attributes, exemplary effort and perseverance and team accomplishments throughout the season that were deserving of special recognition.

The award is the first award won for the Quantum Robotics team and STEM High School, which is set to move to its new campus in unincorporated King County between Redmond and the Sammamish city limits.
