Six-hundred students from Issaquah, Liberty, and Skyline High Schools will share research in kinematics, dynamics, energy and work, momentum, and wave behavior at the Tri-High Physic Symposium at Liberty High School on June 3.
The event will present ongoing research at the University of Washington. The school’s physics program recently surpassed MIT in graduating the greatest number of physics majors in the nation. Areas of interest will include the search for ripples in the fabric of space time, first predicted by Einstein in his Theory of Relativity, as presented by LIGO, the state’s Laser Interferometer Gravitation Wave Observatory.
The symposium also will include music from Liberty High’s Jazz Quartet. Appetizers and treats will be served up by the L Café and Liberty High culinary arts students.
The free event will be from 4-8 p.m. Liberty High School is located at 16655 S.E. 136th, Renton.
