Eastside Fire and Rescue is is responding to a call for help from the Darrington Fire Department to supply a variety of items to help those impacted by the Oso mudslide.
EFR will collect the supplies from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 30 in from of the Home Depot and Lowe’s stores in Issaquah. Items also can be donated any time before 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 1 at any Eastside Fire & Rescue Department (preferably Station 71, 190 E. Sunset Ave, Issaquah).
Items (new or used) that are needed include:
Specifically Shell Gas Station cards
Heavy-duty rain gear (The rubber type, not cloth or Gore-tex)
Rubber rain boots
Chain saw items such as bar oil, rolls of chain saw chain, chains that fit a 18”, 24” or larger size bar and chain files
Shovels
Heavy-duty metal rakes
Hatchets
Fuel mix (two-stroke oil)
Axes
Picks
Socks – Synthetic material (no cotton, please)
Long Johns – Synthetic material (no cotton, please)
Towels
Hand trowels or any had tool for fine digging
