A food drop-off site at the Redmond/Sammamish Teen Center is collecting food donations in preparation for the 2016 Hope Festival.

These donations will go toward the February 2016 one-day event that serves more than 1,000 low-income families and individuals each year.

The Hope Festival, which previously occurred in October 2014, was formerly known as the Harvest Festival.

People can donate items now until Dec. 18, weekdays from 1-6:30 p.m. The Teen Center is located at 825 228th Ave. N.E., Sammamish.

Additionally, the center will set up a drop-off site for a clothing and book drive in 2016.
