A 72-member high school band from Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Minnesota, will perform at the Sammamish fireworks display on the Fourth of July.

The band has been a competitive group since the early 1980s, placing in the top three in each parade entered. The band has traveled to the 1985 Cotton Bowl Parade, the Tournament of Roses Parade in 1990 and 1998, the Florida Citrus Bowl Parade in 2003 and 2006, the 1992 National Independence Day Parade, the 1992 closing ceremonies of the US Olympics, the 1994 and 2000 Fiesta Bowl Parade, the 2009 Estes Park and Greeley Stampede Parades and the 2011 Coronado Island Fourth of July parade in San Diego.

The group will also perform in the Kirkland Fourth of July parade.
