Vehicle break-ins: An officer responded to a call for extra patrols at Lakemont Orchard in the 18300 block of Southeast Newport Way following reports of about seven vehicle break-ins and multiple thefts of mail over the last two days.
No sale: A woman in the 900 block of Northeast Ingram Way said she had sold her vehicle to another female, but that the personal check provided for the car had been stopped and no funds were available. The transfer of ownership was stopped by the Department of Licensing.
June 1
Temper tantrum: A person walking across the street at Northeast Maple Street and Newport Way Northwest reportedly threw a plastic water bottle at a car and said to the driver, “you almost hit me.” Both individuals were spoken to.
June 2
Suspicious: A city worker found a tent and an extension cord in the 1700 block of Northwest Talus Drive, near the Talus water pump station. A motion sensor had been moved and a green extension cord was tied up on the fence surrounding the pump station.
June 5
Sketchy neighbor: A caller in the 300 block of Shangri-La Way had questions/concerns about a downstairs neighbor when she was informed he was a drug dealer and had warrants and also may have used a different name to rent the apartment. The officer offered her some suggestions and suggested she contact the complex manager regarding her concerns.
Reckless drivers: Motorcyclists were reported driving on and off the sidewalks near Front Street North and East Sunset Way. Officers were not available to respond and the state patrol was notified in case the motorcyclists got on the freeway.

High school assault: A father of a 15-year-old Skyline High School student called police stating her daughter was physically assaulted by a classmate at school. There were no physical marks on the girl’s neck, but police told the girl she should notify the school. The father and his daughter did not wish to press charges.
May 27
Road rage: A Sammamish resident reported a black colored Suburban vehicle drove by at an excessive speed while he was walking his dog. When he made a gesture to slow down, the driver flipped him off, so the man flipped off the driver. The driver got out of his vehicle, denied driving too fast, and hit the man in the chest. The driver was described as being close to six feet tall, muscular and fit. No one was injured.
