This holiday season, Sammamish residents are being encouraged to show their generosity by bringing new, unwrapped gifts to City Hall as part of the U.S. Marine Corps’ “Toys for Tots” program. Residents may simply come in the front door and drop their donation in the bin located by the Sammamish police station.
Detective Amy Jarboe of the King County Sheriff’s Office, who is responsible for the collection effort in Sammamish over many years, is eager to see what comes in the door.
“It’s always fun to see what people select and contribute to needy kids,” Jarboe said. “I love seeing the gifts pile up, and I love handing them off to the Marines for distribution.”
Donations will be accepted at Sammamish City Hall until Dec. 9.
