Trolley seeking volunteer help

The Issaquah Valley Trolley crew is getting ready for the 2014 season and is seeking people who would like to work with a 1923 vintage trolley car.

 

The Issaquah Valley Trolley crew is getting ready for the 2014 season and is seeking people who would like to work with a 1923 vintage trolley car. Information will be provided at the organization’s open house at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 18 at the historic Issaquah Depot, 78 First Ave. N.E. Help is needed with the following positions:

Motorman: Operates the car and is responsible for the passengers. Dresses in uniform.

Conductor: Greets the passengers, shares tidbits of local history, and helps the motorman as necessary. Dresses in uniform.

Station Agent: Greets passengers, sells tickets, helps passengers on and off the car. No uniform required.

Maintainer: Helps keep the trolley car and its generator car in good condition. No uniform required.

The trolley’s summer schedule will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at the depot.
