Twenty-two Eastside Catholic marketing students qualified to represent the school at the DECA State Championships March 3-5, according to a school press release.
DECA Inc., not-for-profit organization founded in 1946, has been preparing rising leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management for almost 70 years. The organization has impacted more than 10 million high school and college-age young adults, educators, school administrators and business professionals.
The Eastside Catholic students who qualified this year will compete against 3,600 students from across the state at the Meydenbauer Convention Center in Bellevue for an opportunity to attend the International Career Development Conference in April held in Nashville, Tennessee. During the International Career Development Conference, top competitors in each event will be recognized for their achievements and many are awarded scholarships and various other awards. Additionally, the students will participate in workshops, seminars and training sessions.
