The blotter consists of officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city of Sammamish. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Oct. 31
Halloween hijinx: A suspect was trespassed after loitering and possibly shoplifting at the Safeway on 228th Avenue Northeast at 12:04 a.m.
Nov. 1
Child neglect: A possible child neglect case involving a student at Rachael Carson Elementary School on 241st Lane Southeast was reported at 11:40 a.m.
Possible burglary: A resident of Southeast 41st Court called police at 5:17 p.m. because the front door of their house was found open and a burglary was suspected. There were no signs of forced entry.
Nov. 2
Drive-through spat: At 10:07 a.m., two people were arguing with one another in the drive-through of Jack in the Box on 228th Avenue Northeast and in the parking lot.
Nov. 4
Click it or ticket: A driver was stopped at the corner of Northeast Eighth Street and 244th Avenue Northeast fornot wearing a seat belt. During the traffic stop it was found that the driver was driving on a suspended license.
Nov. 5
Threats: A suspect made threats with a knife at 6:31 p.m. at a residence on Northeast 19th Street. The suspect was booked into King County Jail.
Nov. 6
Shower power: At 9:03 a.m., a known suspect stole a gun and other items from a residence on 217th Avenue Southeast. The suspect is known to enter the house and steal things when the homeowner is in the shower.
I’m wounded: A suspect was cyberstalking a woman living on 208th Avenue Northeast for the past few months over phone and internet. The suspect sent photos of wounds on Oct. 2. Police talked to the suspect at 11:55 a.m. and made them understand they were forbidden to contact the woman anymore.
Checking up on fraud: A woman living on Klahanie Drive Southeast made a fraud report at 1:30 p.m. of forged checks having to do with a recent move from Ohio to Washington.
Sliding glass thief: A suspect entered the backyard of a residence on Southeast 40th Place and opened the sliding glass door to the home. A father and sons had left the residence but failed to secure the door. The burglary was discovered at 6:50 p.m.
Nov. 7
Auto theft: A7 7:23 a.m., a woman living on Southeast 45th Place left her car unlocked and running in the driveway so that it would warm up. The car was stolen.
