A pedestrian was run over by a U-haul truck just before noon in Sammamish today, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The U-haul truck was parked with the motor running on a slight incline at Northeast Inglewood Hill Road and 225th Place Northeast when the brakes were released, causing the truck to run over the pedestrian.

“A U-haul employee attempted to help the victim and received minor injuries,” said Jessica Santos, a detective with the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with possible life-threatening injuries.
