Veterans Day service at Issaquah Senior Center

Liberty High School’s Reserve Officer Training Corps will perform a 21-gun salute and color guard duties, followed by a tribute to the late entertainer and avid USO performer Bob Hope, Issaquah VFW leader David Waggoner said.

The Issaquah Senior Center will host a Veterans Day service at the Issaquah Senior Center 11 a.m. Nov. 11, marking the signing of the World War I armistice on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Councilwoman Eileen Barber, who is active in local veterans matters and is the daughter of a a serviceman, will deliver the keynote speech.

Snacks will be provided before and after the event, he said.

The senior center is located at 75 N.E. Creek Way in Issaquah.
