Issaquah installed a new footbridge across the steep Discover Drive, connecting new apartment developments to Swedish Hospital. A time lapse video shows the quick installation.

The bridge was delivered in two pieces from Florida, and then assembled just before it was installed. The city planned to close the road for three hours while it installed the bridge, but it only took about 45 minutes.

The idea of this bridge started in 2005, when the preliminary plats of areas just east and west of Highlands Drive Northeast were first drafted.
