Volunteers needed to construct new playground at Lake Sammamish State Park

Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park are calling for volunteers to help construct the park's new playground equipment.

Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park are calling for volunteers to help construct the park’s new playground equipment.

Both half-day and full-day volunteers are needed for the community build, which will take place Aug. 24 through Aug. 26. About 15 volunteers per day are needed, especially those familiar with basic power tools. Volunteers may sign up for one or more days.

Volunteers must be 18 or older. Lunch will be provided.

Site work for the all-accessible $1.1 million playground is already complete, short of the landscape planting. Sidewalks are all in and foundations for the equipment will be done before the community build.
