July 20

FIRE INVESTIGATION: At approximately 6 a.m., police responded to a 911 call from Cascade Ridge Elementary reporting that items had been burned on the school play field.

July 23

JUVENILE RUNAWAY: A missing juvenile was found near the basketball courts at Pine Lake Middle School around 8:30 p.m.

July 24

FAMILY DISTURBANCE: Shortly after 9 p.m., police responded to a family disturbance between a 10-year-old girl and her parents in the 4500 block of 247 Place Southeast.

July 25

VEHICLE PROWL: A resident’s driver’s side window was smashed near the 3800 block of Klahanie Drive Southeast.

HIT AND RUN: Shortly after 9 p.m., a resident reported a hit-and-run to their parked vehicle in the YMCA parking lot near the 800 block of 228 Avenue Southeast.

VANDALISM: Graffiti was spray-painted on the walls at Cascade Ridge Elementary.

CAR PROWL: Around 12 p.m., a resident reported their car’s rear passenger window had been shattered, the central electrical control panel had been pried off and a DVD had been stolen from behind the back seat. The car was parked along the 2300 block of Klahanie Bld.

July 26

HIT AND RUN: A driver crashed their SUV into the roundabout located at Northeast 8th Street and 244 Avenue Northeast, breaking off the driver’s side front tire. The occupant left the vehicle blocking the roundabout.

AUTO THEFT: Around 8:30 a.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from a parking stall at the Bordeaux Apartments near the 700 block of 700 240 Way Southeast. The vehicle was taken using a spare key in the glove box.

THEFT: A handbag containing a wallet and credit cards was reported stolen from a resident’s unlocked vehicle near the 2600 block of 213 Place Southeast shortly after 9 a.m.

ASSAULT: Shortly before noon, a resident reported his ex-girlfriend was hitting and biting him as he was trying to leave at the Bordeaux Condos.

IDENTITY THEFT: A power bill for a residence in Shoreline was established using a Sammamish resident’s information.

PHONE SCAM: A Sammamish resident was the victim of a phone scam, purchasing $2,000 worth of iTunes gift cards with their credit card.

TRESPASS: Shortly before 7 p.m., police responded to a trespass complaint from the pool area of the Madison Apartments. A trespass letter was served to the suspect.

July 27

ATTEMPTED RAPE: At 6:23 p.m., a woman reported a subject grabbed her while she exited the 7-Eleven in the 3300 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway and pulled her to the side of the building in between two vehicles. The subject attempted to spread her legs. The victim was able to escape by vehicle to safety. Police are currently investigating the case.

July 28

THEFT: At 3:24 p.m., a jet ski ramp was taken from the dock area of a property at the 19600 block of Northeast 33 Place.

CHILD ABUSE: At 3:30 p.m., Child Protective Services requested a welfare check of a child at the 2600 block of 231 Place SE due to past abuse allegations.

ROBBERY: at 6:13 p.m., a robbery was reported at the AT&T store at the 600 block of 228 Ave. NE. Four males were reported to enter the store, then after pretending to examine devices, all at once rip devices off their displays and flee to waiting cars.

July 30

FRAUD: A resident who needed work done to their house and property hired help off Angie’s List. The suspect promised to do work for the victim and took money, but never completed the work and refuses to get back in touch with the victim.

FOUND PHONE: At 11:20 a.m., an Apple iPhone in a green case was found lying along the sidewalk near the corner of Southeast 30 Street and 224 Place Southeast.

NO LICENSE: At 7:45 p.m., a driver was stopped at the 3000 block of 228 Ave. SE for a traffic violation and arrested for not having a valid operator’s license.

July 31

AUTO THEFT: At 1:17 p.m., a vehicle was reported stolen from the residence’s driveway it the 23200 block of NE 16th Place. The car was unlocked and the keys were inside the vehicle.

CAR PROWL: An unlocked vehicle was entered overnight while parked in the residence’s driveway at the 1900 block of 205 Place NE. The vehicle’s registration was taken.

DEATH INVESTIGATION: In the 2200 block of 236 Place NE, a man hung himself near the front entryway on a second-story balcony.
