Workshop set for people dealing with Multiple Sclerosis

Neurologist Lily Jung-Henson will discuss the role information overload can play in the treatment options for people dealing with Multiple Sclerosis on Saturday, May 31, at the Swedish Medical Center campus in the Issaquah Highlands.

Neurologist Lily Jung-Henson will discuss the role information overload can play in the treatment options for people dealing with Multiple Sclerosis on Saturday, May 31, at the Swedish Medical Center campus in the Issaquah Highlands.

Dr. Jung-Henson will discuss the benefits versus the potential risks that various treatment options can have on a patient’s lifestyle during the free workshop. Jung-Henson will also explore the questions of when to begin treatment and how to determine which medication is appropriate to counter specific symptoms.

The event, from 10 a.m. to noon, is sponsored by the Greater Northwest Chapter of the National MS Society and hosted by The No Whiners, the MS Support Group that meets monthly at the Issaquah hospital. Dr. Jung-Henson is head of the Swedish Neuroscience Center and a recognized expert in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple sclerosis.
