The blotter consists of Sammamish police officers’ accounts of crimes and other incidents in the city. Persons arrested are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
Sept. 5
BURGLARY: A burglary occurred at the 22500 block of SE 20 St. while the husband and wife were out on a walk. The subjects entered the home through an unlocked front door, stealing jewelry, a wallet and a checkbook.
Sept. 7
VANDALISM: An unknown person spray-painted vulgarities on the ground at the lower student parking lot at Skyline High School.
STOLEN TRIANGLES: A resident at the 2400 block of 231 Place NE reported warning triangles had been taken from in front of their garage.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: At the 26600 block of SE Duthie Hill Road, a subject was arrested and booked into Issaquah Jail for driving with a suspended license.
SUSPENDED LICENSE AGAIN: A traffic stop at the 26700 block of SE Duthie Hill Road yielded a subject driving with a suspended license, who was arrested.
CAR PROWL: A vehicle parked at the trail head to the East Lake Sammamish trail at the 800 block of E. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE had its passenger-side window broken and a purse was stolen.
Sept. 8
VANDALISM: A subject damaged the rear back fence at Skyline High School, pulling the fencing material back and damaging the brackets holding the fencing material to its posts, creating a large hole to gain access to school grounds. Police reported the damages to be under $1500.
CONTRACTOR THEFT: A resident at the 24500 block of SE 44 St. hired a contractor, who had been recommended by friends, for a remodeling project. The resident gave the contractor a $1500 deposit check. The contractor deposited the check and then said he could not do the job and never returned to do the work.
Sept. 9
COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: A suspect entered Yo Plateau in Sammamish while it was closed, ransacked the office and cleaned out the safe. Police reported the suspect entered through the rear door, likely with a key.
SUSPENDED LICENSE: A subject was arrested at the 3200 block of 228 Ave. SE for driving with a suspended license and booked into Issaquah Jail. Their vehicle was impounded by Ibsen of Redmond.
CAR WINDOWS VANDALIZED: The windows of multiple vehicles sustained glass damage due to an unknown suspect throwing large rocks at them at the KFC parking lot at the 22900 block of NE 4 St. Police reported damages of over $1500.
