Donnabelle Aiton, formerly of Issaquah, passed away, Friday, October 26, 2018 in Tulalip, Washington. She was 90.
Donnabelle was born November 30, 1927 in Walla Walla, Washington. She was raised in Walla Walla where she graduated from Walla Walla High School. Following high school, Donnabelle furthered her education at Whitman College, Washington State University and College of Puget Sound.
On April 11, 1948 Donnabelle married Clinton A. Aiton in Walla Walla, at Pioneer Methodist Church. They lived in Walla Walla before moving to Issaquah in 1967.
Throughout her life Donnabelle was a hardworking and tender provider for her family. Her first duty was to her family and as a homemaker. She also worked as a secretary, in support of her husband’s ministry.
Donnabelle was a member of United Methodist Church (Faith Church) in Issaquah. She was also a member of P.E.O, Philanthropic Educational Organization; an organization with the true mission of promoting educational opportunities for women.
In her leisure time Donnabelle enjoyed gardening, American history, travel, researching historical areas and spending time with her family. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother and grandmother who possessed a fathomless love for her family. She is deeply missed.
Survivors include her loving children, Judith A. Aiton, Jeanette L. Graff, Mark L. Aiton and Stephen M. Aiton; siblings, Loyd Malion, Lona Richmond, Penny Bartels; five grandchildren and one step-granddaughter.
A memorial service was held at 11am, Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Faith Church in Issaquah. Private inurnment was held at Hillside Cemetery in Issaquah.
