Richard “Dick” Wood, of Sammamish, passed away April 30, in Redmond. He was 75.

Dick was born March 23, 1935 in Wauwatosa, Wis., to Ruth and Merrill Wood. He was raised in the Milwaukee area where he joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17.

In the early 1970s, he moved to the Sammamish area where he became a member of the Redmond Elks Club.

In his leisure time, Dick enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, and walking his dogs, Coco and Buddy.

He always loved a good joke and making others laugh.

Dick will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his loving companion and life partner Gayle McCulloch of Sammamish; his daughters, Elaine Prithuiraj of Chino Hills, Calif., Kathy Piscopo of Lakewood, Calif., and Dena Wood of Long Beach, Calif.; siblings, Ardyth Roloff of Orinda, Calif., Keith Wood of Palm City, Fla., and Paul Eagle Jr. of Riverside, Calif.; five grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.

Dick was preceded in death by his mother and father, Ruth and Paul Eagle; and brother, Dennis Wood.
