Sara Virginia Lee English passed away in Vancouver, WA, on February 13, 2018. The daughter of Paul and Erma (Craighead) Lee, she was born October 8, 1932 in Kansas City, Missouri. Virginia graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1950, and married Laurence Allan English on November 4, 1950 in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

Virginia and family moved to Issaquah, WA, in 1969. She served as church organist for 23 years at Newport Covenant Church in Bellevue, Washington, and in recent years was a member of University Presbyterian Church in Seattle. Virginia retired from the Washington State Attorney General’s office in 2006 at the age of 74. She enjoyed gardening, travel, genealogy and was a member of the DAR.

Survivors include her husband, two children: Laurie Mudge (John) of Vancouver, WA, and Eric English (Annette) of Seattle, a brother, John Lee of Bluffdale, Utah, four grandchildren: Daniel Mudge, Lauren, Lindey and Erin English, of Seattle.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 3pm at Newport Covenant Church, Bellevue, WA. Her cremains will be buried in the cemetery at Edwardsville, Kansas.
