Ward Ernest Ellsworth died peacefully at home on August 5, 2017.

Ward was born December 1, 1933 in Rogers, AR. He graduated from Western Washington University in 1956 with his BA and taught school until 1998. Ward and his wife retired to Mount Vernon, WA in 1999.

Ward was a man of faith, character, and integrity. He will be greatly missed by Kay, his wife of sixty-three years, their four children, ten grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

His memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Skagit Valley Church of Christ, Burlington, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ward’s memory to Hospice of the Northwest, 227 Freeway Drive Suite A, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.
