William “Bill” Clark Hoag was born in Salamanca, New York, on the Alleghany Indian Reservation to Arthur and Isabelle Hoag on March 30, 1921.
Bill attended Cornell University and graduated from Tri-State University in 1943 with a degree in civil engineering. Upon graduation, he moved to Seattle, Washington where he worked for The Boeing Company for 40 years, and was married to his wife, Florence N. Hoag for over 60 years. Bill retired from Boeing in 1983.
Bill’s subsequent years were spent traveling, playing golf, enjoying sports and maintaining his yard and garden at his home on Lake Sammamish, Washington where he lived for over 70 years. Bill passed away at his home on April 25, 2024 at 103 years old.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, two brothers and his wife Florence. He is survived by his son, Tom E. Hoag, and his two grandchildren, Tommy Hoag and Amanda Hoag for which they had a very special place in his heart.
