Perseverance is key, just like with Father’s Day | LETTER

Members of the Issaquah/Sammamish community have recently expressed their concerns and frustrations regarding a variety of local projects that seem to be moving too slowly for their liking.

Members of the Issaquah/Sammamish community have recently expressed their concerns and frustrations regarding a variety of local projects that seem to be moving too slowly for their liking. This should remind us that many times perseverance will prevail as it eventually did in the observance of Father’s Day. Ironically thanks to the determination of Sonora Dodd of Spokane and others, the Governor of Washington proclaimed a Father’s Day celebration in 1910, however, it was not recognized as a national holiday until 1972. Being patient and understanding will eventually see the issues relating to our communities be accomplished in a positive and acceptable way. According to Farther Time, this might take a while. Have a happy Dad’s Day!
