Why I’m voting yes for transportation bond | Letter

I now better understand the myriad of “hoops to be jumped through” to achieve improvements. The $50 million Issaquah transportation bond being supported by OneIssaquah obviously can’t fix everything, especially those issues amenable largely by county, state and federal means. However, it’s a step in the right direction to improve our local quality of life from Newport Way in the south to 43rd Way on the northern border of our city.

To this point, Issaquah’s Proposition 1 is separate from the regional transportation Proposition 1 for $54 billion. Issaquah’s bond is positioned on the last page of the November ballot. So, don’t forget to turn your ballot over.

More than 1,400 residents of Providence Point in north Issaquah will benefit from a traffic light that will mitigate our entrance and egress. This will make it safer for the children who attend the high school and middle school in the works there.
