Eastlake Little League will be back on the field tonight, once again with its back against the wall at the Little League World Series, this time against the only team to hand it a defeat since the state tournament: Westport, Conn.
The game is set for a 5 p.m. PDT first pitch on ESPN2 at Howard J. Lamade Stadium in South Williamsport, Pa. and will be the first since Eastlake’s 6-5 win over Tennessee on Tuesday.
While the Reporter has been following along with the team from back at home, including updates on the team’s progress and a feature story on some of the history of the young league, parents and fans of the team have sent dispatches from the Little League Mecca.
From spending time learning the history of Little League to signing autographs for adoring fans (and peers), the team has been busy off the diamond, while making SportsCenter Top-10 plays and reaching the US Pool semi-finals on it.
