The Issaquah boys cross country team wrapped up a perfect dual meet season Wednesday afternoon, winning the annual cross-town matchup with Skyline and Liberty at Khlahanie Park.

The Eagles finished their season with a 12-0 record, scoring 26 points. Skyline finished second with 47 and Liberty was third with 56. The Eagles swept third through sixth place, with Kevin Lemond finishing at a team best 16 minutes, 11 seconds. Jon Wallis (16:13), Dennis Leigh (16:18) and Chris Brasino (16:25) followed behind.

Skyline’s Kyle Branch won the overall race, finishing first in 16:04, while Liberty’s Eric Bice was second in 16:09.

Up next for the Eagles and Spartans is the KingCo 4A meet, Thursday, Oct. 22 at Lake Sammamish State Park.

Skyline girls run to first

The Skyline girls cross country team took first Wednesday afternoon, scoring 31 team points. Issaquah was second with 49 and Liberty was third with 50.

Issaquah had the top two individual finishers with Nicole Migotsky taking first in 20:12, and Arielle Walton in second at 20:13.

Skyline took third, fifth, sixth and seventh place, however, to win the meet. Elise Pletcher was third overall in 20:30. Haley Hunter (20:49), Erin Vanderwall (20:54) and Erin Murphy (21:31) rounded out the Spartan’s top finishers.
