The boys Division I lacrosse tournament opened Tuesday as Eastlake advanced to the quarterfinals and Skyline saw its season come to an end.
Eastlake downed Curtis 19-9 to move on, and will travel to face defending state champion Bellevue in the second round on Thursday in a 7 p.m. start.
Skyline did not fare as well, falling to King’s Way 13-11 to end the season.
It will be Eastside Catholic looking for a repeat performance of last year, when they knocked upstart King’s Way from the tournament in the semi-finals to advance to the program’s first state title game.
The Crusaders will host a Thursday 7 p.m. quarterfinal after having a bye in the first round of the tournament.
Mercer Island won its opener 9-4 over Lakeside and will travel to Issaquah on Thursday for the second round in the 7:30 p.m. start.
