Eastlake boys crack first top-10 of season | Prep sports news

The first state coaches cross country poll is out and the Wolves are in the top-10.

The first cross country coaches poll is out for 2013 and Eastlake finds itself back in the top-10 on the boys side and just outside the rankings for the girls.

The Wolves’ boys welcome back four runners from with top-100 finishes at state last year in Caleb Olson, Nathan Pixler, Kyle Suver and Jordan Oldenburg, who was 27th individually to lead Eastlake to a 10th place team finish in 2012.

On the girls side, where the Wolves are just outside the top-10, 2012 state participants Anastasia Kosykh and Olivia Latham lead a seasoned and deep squad that also includes Rachel Zigman, Kirsten Flindt, Nicole Stinnett and Devon Bortfeld. That group also finished 10th at state last season.
