Eastlake nabs second in District 2 golf meet

Redmond finished with a combined 89.5 points, ahead of Eastlake’s 59.

Wang shot a two-day total of even par, 73-71–144, two strokes behind Mroz’s two-day total, 69-73–142.

Eastlake freshman Spencer Weiss placed fourth overall with a 75-74–149, with teammate Evan Alston finishing in a tie for fifth with a 74-76–150. All three Eastlake golfers advanced to the 4A state meet in May.

Skyline freshman Brian Mogg finished third overall, shooting a combined 71-74–145, while teammate Nathan Stephenson grabbed the 15th and final state berth with a two-day total of 77-77–154.

Skyline finished fourth overall as a team with 27 points, narrowly behind Woodinville’s 28.5.

Issaquah tied with Inglemoor for seventh with 4.5 points. The Eagles failed to advance any golfers to the state meet.
