Eastside Catholic won its third straight game at the Chaminade Christmas Classic Wednesday in West Hills, Calif., beating Valencia, 56-52.
The Crusaders led 34-22 at halftime, before falling behind 43-42 at the end of the third quarter.
Joey Schreiber helped Eastside close the game out strong behind his team-high 24 points.
The Crusaders, who are now 8-2 overall, play for the tournament championship at 7:30 p.m., tonight against the host team, Chaminade (9-3).
Issaquah nets win in Oregon
Issaquah earned a dominant 77-33 victory over GP Vanier (British Columbia) in Wednesday’s Les Schawb Holiday Tournament opener in Bend, Ore.
Nick Price scored a team-high 17 points, helping the Eagles to a 41-17 halftime lead. Fletcher Martin added 14 points as 11 players tallied points.
Issaquah improved to 7-1 overall.
Eastlake bounces back with win in Arizona
Eastlake bounced back Wednesday from a tough loss in the first round of the Cactus Jam to defeat San Marino, Calif., 73-60.
The Wolves, who led 55-54 after three quarters, went on a 22-10 run in the final frame to pull away.
Eric Holmdahl scored a team-high 22 points, while Brandon Lester tallied 16.
Eastlake improved to 3-7 overall.
Skyline drops second straight in MaxPreps tourney
Skyline lost its second straight game Wednesday in Palm Springs, Calif., at the MaxPreps Holiday Classic, falling 49-38 to Lincoln of Brooklyn, N.Y.
The Spartans pulled within one point, 38-37, with under 5 minutes left in the game via a Bryan Cikatz three-pointer, before the Nailsplitters closed the game out on an 11-1 run.
Skyline dropped to 6-2 overall with the loss. The Spartans play Bishop Manogue of Reno, Nev., today.

Eastside Catholic halts six-game skid
The Eastside Catholic girls ended a six-game losing streak Wednesday night, beating Sammamish 63-29.
Michaela O’Rourke scored a game-high 25 points, while Sarah Hill and Shelby Newell added eight apiece.
The Crusaders moved to 3-7 overall with the victory.
Skyline cruises to big win in Idaho
Skyline recovered from a loss in the opening round of the Coeur d’Alene Invitational Holiday Classic on Wednesday, crushing Redmond, Ore., 61-22.
No individual stats were reported.
The Spartans improved to 6-3 overall with the victory.
