Skyline nabs third place finish

The Skyline Spartans girls track team collected a third place finish at the Wesco/KingCo Bi-District Championships on May 20 at Lake Stevens High School. The Spartans finished with 63 team points. Skyline’s Brandi Hughes earned first place in the 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles.

Eastlake finishes in sixth place

The Eastlake Wolves girls track team nabbed sixth place at the Wesco/KingCo Bi-District Championships on May 20 at Lake Stevens High School.

Eastlake senior Nathan Pixler captured first place in the 800 with a time of 1:54.36 at the Wesco/KingCo Bi-District championships on May 20.

Jensen takes first in discus

Issaquah Eagles sophomore thrower Joey Jensen nabbed first place in the discus with a toss of 151 feet, 11 inches at the Wesco/KingCo Bi-District championships on May 20. Kamiak’s Tim Beard finished in second place with a toss of 149 feet, five inches.

Nelson wins triple jump title

Issaquah Eagles junior Joe Nelson attained first place in the triple jump with a leap of 43 feet, 11.5 inches at the Wesco/KingCo Bi-District championships on May 20.

Skyline wins KingCo 4A tournament title

The Skyline Spartans registered a 3-2 win against the Woodinville Falcons in the Class 4A KingCo title game on May 18 in Inglemoor. Skyline (17-5) clinched a berth at the Class 4A state tournament, which takes place on May 27 and May 28 at Merkel Field in Spokane.

Redmond defeats Eastlake in loser-out game

The Redmond Mustangs defeated Eastlake 5-4 in a loser-out KingCo district playoff game on May 18. The Wolves finished the 2016 season with an overall record of 15-7.

Eastside Catholic captures win against West Seattle

The Eastside Catholic Crusaders defeated West Seattle 6-3 on May 20 in the Class 3A SeaKing District tournament. The Crusaders, who are the No. 3 seed from its district, will compete in the Class 3A state softball tournament on May 27 and May 28 at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey.
