Garfield took down Newport and Redmond to earn its title game spot and already owns a 73-59 victory over the Eagles this season. The two will meet again in the final game of the night at Juanita on Friday, Feb. 17.

Eastlake will have no repeat of last season, when the Wolves were dropped by Edmonds-Woodway in a winner-to-state pigtail game.

Instead, the Lady Wolves will face state-ranked Woodinville for the 4A KingCo girls basketball championship at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17.

Coach Sara Goldie’s squad slipped past Inglemoor by three in the opening round before using a 22-10 fourth quarter to erase a seven-point deficit against Sammamish rival Skyline in the semi-finals behind a game high 18 points from Kendra Morrison.

The Falcons took the only meeting of the year between the two teams, 64-57 in early January.

Skyline and Issaquah are both in the losers bracket after heartbreaking defeats as the Eagles were topped 51-50 by Woodinville and the Spartans fell to Eastlake.

Newport awaits Skyline on Tuesday, and Issaquah will face Inglemoor for a spot in the consolation semi-final. The third place finisher from 4A KingCo will meet the third place finisher from 4A Wesco for the final spot to regionals from the district.
