The Women’s 2.5 team from Robinswood Tennis Center won a USTA Sectional championship recently, capturing the Pacific Northwest title with a win over The Dalles Fitness (Oregon) 2-1 to win the championship and earn a spot a nationals.

The team, which posted an 8-1 record at the tournament (with its only loss coming due to injury forfeit) is coached by Jason Chapman, who serves in the same role at Bellevue College and is a resident of Issaquah. The team’s captain, Kris Kleinsmith, is also a Sammamish resident.

The 18 & Over USTA National Championships for 2.5 are in Indian Wells, Calif.
