Issaquah locked up the No. 3 seed in the KingCo Crest Friday, beating Newport 41-28.
The Knights jumped on the board first behind Isaac Dotson’s 45-yard TD run, before the Eagles responded with 35 unanswered points.
The offensive explosion included three Jack Gellatly touchdown runs from 2, 2 and 12 yards. He added another 12-yard score later in the game.
Quarterback Ethan Kalin also connected with Reed Peterson for two touchdowns, connecting from 48 and 33 yards.
Dotson scored four TDs for Newport.
Issaquah improved to 2-2 in league and 6-2 overall. As the third seed, the Eagles will face Inglemoor at 7 p.m., Friday at Pop Keeney Stadium.
Fourth-seeded Newport will face the No. 2 team from the Crown, Bothell.
