The future appears bright for the Issaquah football program.

The Eagle freshmen finished their season a perfect 9-0, the first time since 2000 an Issaquah ninth grade team has gone through a season with a flawless record.

Issaquah beat its opponents by an average of 32 points. The Eagles averaged more than 300 yards of offense while only allowing an average of 133 yards.

“This is truly a special team,” coach Brian Hartline said in an e-mail.
