Issaquah headed back to state, Skyline faces Curtis | Prep sports news

The 4A girls soccer tournament field is set, with Issaquah and Skyline in action Tuesday.

The Eagles rebounded from consecutive losses in the 4A KingCo girls soccer tournament to top Kamiak 3-1 in a winner-to-state, loser-out district playoff game Saturday in Mukilteo and earn a spot in this week’s 4A state tournament.

Devan Talley scored a pair of goals and Tala Fry tacked on another as Issaquah kept its season alive.

Gig Harbor will be waiting at Peninsula High School Tuesday for a first round contest with a quarterfinal berth on the line.

4A KingCo champion Skyline learned its state tournament fate, and it will be fourth-seeded Curtis (Puyallup) making the trip to the Plateau Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.

A win for the Eagles and Spartans would set a rivalry rematch for a spot in the semi-finals.
